Joanie Jello

We fondly refer to it as "the pink stuff." Joanie usually doubles the recipe for a Warner affair.

Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen strawberries (usually in box with juice)
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 (3 oz. package) strawberry Jello (do not cook the Jello - right George?)
  • 6 oz. packages cream cheese (room temp)
  • 8-10 oz. Cool Whip

Directions

  1. Thaw frozen strawberries in a bowl of hot water, but do not open the plastic pouch until thawed.
  2. Microwave marshmallows with milk until melted, but do not let boil. (On medium for about 4 minutes?)
  3. Add Jello and stir to mix.
  4. Add cream cheese and and beat in mixer until smooth.
  5. Add thawed strawberries and juice (just dump in the contents of the pouch) and stir to mix.
  6. Let cool in fridge until almost set.
  7. Fold in the Cool Whip until all light pink in color.
  8. Chill overnight and serve.
