Italian Cookies

A Chatelle family legacy, passed down from Gramma Pascuzzi.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks soft margarine
  • 1-1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5-6 cups flour
  • 3 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Directions

  1. Beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time.
  2. Add vanilla. Add milk alternately with flour. Add baking powder and salt.
  3. Refrigerate dough.
  4. Break into pieces and make ropes. Form into circles and place on cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Cookies will not brown.
  6. When cool, frost with icing.
